All you wanted to know and did not dare to ask

In this encounter we presented different facts, ideas and perceptions of the Druze faith and the Jewish faith. Our Muslim friends did not attend this encounter – therefore we focused on the other two faiths.

We learned about the uniqueness of the Druze faith, the essence of the faith and the way to repent.

We compared the fact that both faiths do not engage in proselytization. We learned about the seven commandments of Noah which Judaism proposes to the other nations.

Encounter with a Coptic priest, and Armenian priest and members of the Syrian community

We heard about the main principles of the Christian faith in the Coptic, Armenian and Syrian traditions. We also learned about the unique character of each of these churches and the reasons for its formation.

We got to know about the complexity of Christian life in Israel, the relationships between the different churches, issues of religion and nationality and about cooperation between the churches.

The Coptic Bishop Sadrak honored us with his presence and so did Fr. Gurio, a priest who is also a student at the Hebrew University.

The encounter was special and interesting and we look forward to maintaining the connection with these guests in future encounters.
