Women's Interfaith Encounter

Galilee Women's Interfaith Encounter on March 2009:

The Jewish women all arrived – 14 women from several places in the country: from Tzurit in the north to Hod Hasharon in the center. They were joined by 6 Arab women from Eilaboun.

It was the second encounter of the group and, like the first, took place in the home of Randa Zrik-Sabag, the group's coordinator in the Interfaith Encounter Association.

The encounter had three parts:

"How are you" round – deepening our acquaintance, included games and activities led by Randa
Break with dinner that was very special and delicious for everyone
Brainstorming for ideas for the next encounter, after the Holidays

It was decided that the next encounter will also be in Eilaboun but in an earlier hour so we can have a tour of the village. We will also invite a guide who will tell us about the history and geography of Eilaboun.

The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone enjoyed and were enthusiastic about this opportunity to get to know 'the other' in a deep way.

No need to mention that the food was very tasty and that the encounter provided many opportunities for women to sit in pairs or small groups, talk together and get to know each other in a personal way.

In short: it was amazing!
