Interfaith Encounters - General Study Sessions

IEA Reut-Sadaqa's Visit at the Islamic Museum on 27th January 2009:

Reut-Sadaqa's meeting on January 27th 2009 was a special one. It was organized at the initiative of the Moslem Coordinator Ms Rafiqa Othman at the Islamic Museum on the occasion of an exhibition of Arab Artists expressing each in his/her own way Israeli Arabs' Life in Israel through modern art. Most of these productions are internationally known and acknowledged.

The Islamic Museum hosted us with great generosity. On arrival refreshments welcomed us in their cafeteria until all arrived. Mr. Mouhammed Elayan, Coordinator introduced himself, welcomed us very warmly and explained his project.

We were then confided to our special guide Khalil Nammary who very patiently showed us round in Hebrew, not only this very beautiful exhibition but also picked the highlights of the Museum to make us more acquainted with its special exhibits.

All those who attended this event expressed gratitude and hoped we will have more of such events.

We regretted that Ms Miriam Feldmann Kaye – Jewish Coordinator was unable to be present due to family obligations.

Report written by Sr. Karmela Farrugia – Christian Coordinator and Rafiqa Othman – Moslem Coordinator
